Personal Spaces
Enjoy beautifully renovated 3–4 bedroom apartments that come fully furnished and ready for move-in. With only 2 people per room, there is plenty of space for everyone to feel comfortable. Each resident is provided with brand-new furniture, comfortable beds, ample storage, and a private study desk.
Fully-Equipped Kitchens
Prepare meals in highly functional kosher kitchens designed for communal living. To support a Torah observant lifestyle, each kitchen features double sinks, two ovens, two microwaves, and two spacious refrigerators.
Safety & Comfort
Live with confidence thanks to secure electronic access and professional security monitoring. All apartments include full air conditioning, high-speed WiFi connectivity, modern bathrooms, and welcoming spaces for social gathering.

Located in the heart of Jerusalem, The Bayit offers a 2-minute walk to the Light Rail and a 5-minute walk to the Central Bus Station, providing effortless connectivity to service placements throughout the Jerusalem and beyond.
Program Dates
The residential year typically runs from late August through late August of the following year, aligned with the Sherut Leumi and IDF service calendar.
Program Cost & Financial Assistance
Annual Fee: ₪15,000 NIS / approx. $4,800 USD
This fee covers residential programming, campus facilities and services, security, and administrative and pastoral support. Housing itself is provided in accordance with government regulations.
Limited need-based scholarships are available and may be requested during the application process.

Who is eligible for The Bayit program?
The program is specifically designed for young women currently serving in Sherut Leumi or the IDF who are seeking a Torah-observant, supportive community environment in Jerusalem. Bnot Sherut from any Aguda (Sherut Leumi organization) and Chayalot from any IDF unit can live in The Bayit.
What are the religious expectations for residents?
Residents are expected to commit to a Halachic lifestyle, participate in core religious programming, and contribute to the positive, Torah-focused energy of The Bayit and its communal activities.
Can you describe the living arrangements?
You will live in modern, fully-furnished 3–4 bedroom Jerusalem apartments with plenty of storage. Each kitchen is fully equipped with brand-new appliances, and all apartments include AC, high-speed WiFi, and secure building access.
What is the tuition cost for The Bayit?
The annual fee is ₪15,000 NIS (approx. $4,800 USD), covering programming, security, and other facilities. Limited need-based scholarships are available; please inquire during your application process.
Can I move into The Bayit after August, closer to my draft date?
Chayalot who draft later in the year are welcome to move into The Bayit once they begin their service. The annual program fee remains the same and does not change based on your move-in date, as your payment reserves your room for the entire residential year.
